Also at a global level, this ranking considers once again that the strongest point of the Algarve Academy is its international projection, placing it in position 347 among the 1799 institutions evaluated, from 104 countries.

In this edition, UAlg improved its performance in three of the four areas under evaluation: Research, Knowledge Transfer and International Projection.

UAlg integrates for the sixth consecutive year this world ranking of universities, being between positions 1001 and 1200. It should be noted that this edition included 1799 institutions, 137 more than the previous year, and 537 institutions with reporter status for not having reached the eligibility criteria for a position in the ranking.

As in previous editions of this ranking, the 2023 ranking is drawn up taking into account the various aspects of the institutions: teaching, research, international projection (teaching staff, students and research) and knowledge transfer.
