Overview
The open course "Sustainability and Social Innovation On the Move" takes place within the framework of the European University of the Seas Alliance (SEA-EU).

Objectives

  • To explore the concept of sustainability and its significance in addressing global challenges such as climate change, resource decrease, and biodiversity loss.
  • To examine the interconnectedness of environmental, social, and economic systems and how they impact on sustainability efforts. Through case studies and discussions, participants learn about sustainable practices in various sectors, including energy, water cycle, seafood production and tourism.
  • To explore strategies to promote sustainability at individual, organizational, and community levels. It addresses environmental, sustainable, and social/community strategies, synchronized with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
  • To gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainability principles and to have insight of practical cases to contribute to a more sustainable future.
