Conditions of access

i. Holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent;
ii. Holders of a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State adhering to this Process;
iii. Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as meeting the objectives of the degree by the Scientific or Technical-Scientific Council of the Organic Units responsible for the study cycle;
iv. Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum, which is recognized as attesting the ability to carry out this cycle of studies by the Technical-Scientific Councils of the Instituto Superior de Engenharia and the Escola Superior de Saúde and the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, all Organic Units of the University of Algarve.

Observation: The recognition referred to in paragraphs ii. to iv. their effect is only to provide access to the study cycle leading to a master's degree and does not grant its holder equivalence to a bachelor's degree or recognition of that degree.

Criteria for selection of the candidates

Curriculum assessment:

a) Final course average or equivalent (50%)
b) Relevant curriculum vitae (25%): Participation in research activities and additional training in the area of the competition. Professional experience in Occupational Health and Safety. Volunteer activities.
c) Skills in using computer tools, from the user’s perspective (10%)
d) UAlg student (10%)
e) Workers of registered companies (5%)

For applicants under point IV of the admission conditions, the criteria are:
a) Final course average that gives the candidate the highest qualification (40%)
b) Relevant curriculum vitae (40%): Participation in research activities and additional training in the area of the competition. Professional experience in Occupational Health and Safety. Volunteer activities.
c) Skills in using computer tools, from the user’s perspective (10%)
d) Workers of registered companies (10%)
